Irish newspaper Sunday Tribune has ranked resort Borovets 6th in its Top 10 of places to make money from property. The newspaper has ranked the destinations, which according to the newspaper are worth investing this year, Dnevnik daily reported on the 3rd of March.
Borovets is the only Bulgarian resort, which has found a place in this ranking. It includes cities such as Toulouse, Dubai, London. Bulgarian property market is defined as one of the hottest markets in Europe for the last number of years. But it is the strong investment interest that is the reason some parts of the country to become a little too crowded and, not as cheap as it once was. Nevertheless ski resort Borovets is an attractive place for investment, the article says. The resort will keep on establishing itself as a destination for ski tourism, a less expensive alternative to France and Italy and offering a longer season.
Only three from the potential destinations included in the ranking are not in Europe. These are Dubai, Orlando, and Hurghada. The other seven of them are in Europe and among them there are holiday resorts as well as cities.
The list of the most attractive places to make money from property is topped by Dubai. The city is growing extremely fast during the last few years. The place is attractive for investing due to its luxurious projects that is being built as well as the favorable tax system. According to Greg Grant from “Holiday rentals” apartment demand in Dubai is still ahead of the supply. A proof for that is the fact that there are a small number of vacant lodgings at the market.
Second in the ranking is Ibiza. Despite the scandals from the last year this destination is still amongst the most popular and attractive ones for Irish buyers, Sunday Tribune says.
The Polish City of Poznań is in the top three of the most attractive places. Polish property market is amongst the most dynamic ones worldwide, maintains Richard O’Sulliavn from "Cristy’s estate". He thinks Poznań is a city with potential, which in the next few years will attract the interest of Irish investors.
The French city of Toulouse is not only among the most famous tourist destinations but it is also expected to be attractive as a place to make money from property, the ranking asserts. The average property price is about 30 % lower than the one in Ireland. Toulouse is a city where a number of foreign companies have offices and production sites and they will always need a place for accommodation, the publication points out. The fifth in the ranking is the Swiss City of Geneva, which is famous with its quality of life.
As most destinations London didn’t get away with the crisis of the world financial markets, but nevertheless the investors can make money if they know where to invest it in, the Irish publication claims. One of the reasons for this statement is the forthcoming Olympic Games in 2012. Analyzers think now it is the suitable moment for investing in areas around the Olympics where the prices are yet to begin growing.
