Official opening of the ski season in Borovets
A new chairlift will serve Markudjik 2ski run

On Sunday, 21st of December will be the official opening of the ski season in the ski resort of Borovets, was announced by “Borosport” EAD.
On the first day of the new ski season the skiers will be able to use ski passes on half price and the kids will ski for free in the children park “Borokids”. A new 4-chair lift at Markudjik 2 ski run will start functioning. In it’s construction 7 mln leva has been invested. The new facility will replace the ski-lift serving the track so far. It’s length is 1 km and has a capacity of 2 400 people per hour.
From this season a new snow making system will also start functioning. The installation will feed over 200 000 sq.m of tracks in the area of Yastrebets 2 and Yastrebets 3. 30 new mobile and stationary  implements have been delivered as well.
