AGRICULTURAL LAND FOR SALE NEAR VIDIN

This vast non-regulated plot is situated 1 km away from the town of Vidin and at the same distance to Danube Bridge 2. The plot has a frontage of 170 m on the new highway being built at the moment. ‘Danube Bridge’ 2 is to link the Bulgarian Danube port of Vidin to the Romanian city of Calafat by road and rail. It is a key element of a European transport corridor from the German city of Dresden to Istanbul in Turkey. Spanish company FCC (Fomento de Construcciones and Contratas) won the tender to develop the project that would link Vidin in Bulgaria to Calafat in Romania and also the road and rail infrastructure on the Bulgarian side. The firm would be paid 162 million euro for the works, while the total costs of the project, including construction on the Romanian side, was estimated at 236 million euro.
The total length of the road stretch is set at 1440 km and 2480 km of railways. After it is finished, the bridge should have two road lanes in each direction and one railway line.
